[VIDEO GAME] M&S London 2012

Today is the Europe launch day of
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
(America got it a bit earlier.)

The game pretty much is a partygame/mini-game collection and
- best played in multiplayer mode with some competitive friends -
a guarantee for fun time.
It is also great to be really active and get those Wii-Remotes shaking. xD

I dont think it is something you'd play constantly for years -
but well worth being picked up from time to time later on.

This is also shameless self-promoting. xDDD I worked on this game for several months
(I sacrificed my summer holidays to this...-emotional attachment much xD)
- and am still looking forward to playing it again with my family this Christmas.

And on to more baking!

I made those chocolate cookies topped with royal icing yesterday - they looked so pretty -...

... and ruined them today.
After having seen a perfect example of these online, I had to try it.
I bought one of these edible black food pens to draw on the icing..
however even after 12 hours the royal icing on some was still too wet and the pen broke through.
Turns out I put the icing on too thick.
Ahahahaharg!

Melonpan

Yesterday I decided to bake Melonpan.
It was kinda out of the blue...
I used a recipe I found online to buy all the ingredients and just started
(without having actually read the recipe beforehand).
Gosh! I had no clue it was going to be so time consuming and messy.

The coating dough was very sticky and the bread dough took ages to rise...
I also wanted to add some actual melon flavouring which I had to make myself by cooking fresh melon...

They dont quite look the part..I couldnt manage to do the melon pattern on top,
however,
they tasted pretty decent. =)

forgot the sugar coating on the first batch...

I handed some of them out to people and they said they were yummy!
So, success, I guess.. xD I'll have another try to improve sometime.

Hi guys!

Gosh! It's been so long since I last blogged.
I'm currently on (ivoluntary) detox.
It's about 1 1/2 months now that I don't have internet at home or even a PC.
I want to change my blogdesign but guess that will have to wait now...

I recently discovered Ramune Takoyaki Sauce.
Of course I had to buy it.

- it's (one of) my favourite Japanese food.

I could not manage to drink the whole bottle. xDDD

They had Curry flavoured one too, I shall try it next..... ehehehe.

(You'd think that with being out and about in real-life, I'd get fit...
but apparantly I feel like I'm getting fat..and my face is somewhat covered in spots thesedays that I rarely go out without wearing a cap.
Oh, well.. it's getting better but... maaaahh!)

Ahhh..bank holiday weekend (number two)!

I never thought I'd say that, ~~but I'd be so happy to work~~...
Well the last few days haven't been too terrifyingly boring tho..
I survived the Royal Wedding madness. Been strolling around Westminster, amongst thousands of people,
however all I caught of the ceremony was one short glimpse on a TV screen while queueing in a supermarket. xD
I went to some medieval gathering yesterday... wearing a medieval dress, dancing around the may pole to celtic music
and having people adress me with 'Mi Lady'.
Today I spent a day at church - hitting just the right spot in my life atm.
And tomorrow I'll be borrowing a complete strangers' dog, haha, just to go for a walk.

However, for those moments you still happen to get struck by boredom,

I changed my haircolour again recently.

Rabbito actually noticed from the small profile pic. xD

After turning white, my hair became quite overbleached and

damaged.

Basically I am looking to go back to a haircolour that is more easily to maintain.

Like brownish, dark purple or black?

I thought, having a white base is quite good for changing into any colour.

So now I'm this:

I'm such a lady! xD

I'm a bit scared of changeing into something dark, still I think blonde or at least bright colours fit me best.
Tough decision.

The good thing is my current workplace allows any kind of colour as there is no dresscode.

I'm really not quite sure how to start blogging again...

So just a small update about life... I graduated last October (did I ever mention that before? O__o ). I moved back to London - and since last month am working for

EUROPE

as a video game tester, doing Language QA.
I love it! It's quite fun and the atmosphere is like in a big family.

Still gotta sort out lots of stuff,
but hope to get this going again...

Random Snowy Update + NewHaircolour

At -9 degrees and with loadsa snow these days are golden.

Everything looks so peacefully covered in white. =]

And I managed to achieve the ultimate whiteness in my haircolour too.


Sorry for the crappy pic..but that's what I look like. xDDD

Yea, my teeth are that crooked. and oh, that's actually white eyeshadow on my lips.

It will be an eye-opener to those of my friends who still like to believe my overbleached blonde hair happened by accident.

Surprise! I want it that way! And no I dont care if other ppl do not like it.

Nevertheless, I want to change my haircolour into something more natural like that:

I was lazy and did this with the stupid cosmopolitan makeover tool, which also changes the shape of your face and stuff... xDD
and the shape of my face doesn't match that of any celebrities....

But I'm not quite in a christmassy giving spirit yet...

I just made a present I thought was nice..
but the recipient didn't like it.
I even made cookies..no comment -good or bad- at all...
I'm frustrated to have put lots of effort into smthn so useless. =(

Also I was happy to get a part time job and finally make some money..
when my glasses (after years of wearing) scattered to pieces yesterday and it will be around 300 to replace them. Shite!

My uncle from Lithuania and his family
came to visit here some days ago.

As he doesn't want to take his Porsche with him
and it has been standing around here parked for nothing since long,
he now decided to sell it.

and ~~during a period of total boredom at work~~
I was searching for reviews on Magnum Gold.
Usually I prefer scoops of ice-cream on a cone (real gelato) but:

that developes smartphone games called Future Games Of London
and so far it's fun.

The second part of their game Hungry Shark is available in the appstore now.

I did level designing/building. And my name is in the credits.

Of course it's a really fun game too.Haha~

You play a shark and eat basically everything swimming around in the sea, but there are dangers too.

There is a big kind of expo called Maimarkt (May market) taking place every year.
It's quite close to my hometown, so I'm going there everytime. There are lots of different tents with exhibitions/stalls on different topics ( like travel,gardening,food,cars..etc.)

food wonderland!! *__* and the best thing is that YOU CAN TRY EVERYTHING.
So by the end you're through, you're either drunk or feel like having eaten for 2 weeks.

It can only be topped by the LEGO and PLAYMOBIL- Playgrounds tho! lol
where I'm probably the biggest kid between all the infants..to play zookeeper and Lego StarWars.

I'm back~~~ and in the middle of a new school project.

It's a 3D game project using Gamestudio A7 (coding in Lite-C) and Cinema 4d.

At the moment I'm in the role of the level-designer.....
ugahhh..I really don't like Cinema.

Ever tried to shape a palmtree out of a cube??! x__X

This is what I've created so far..so crappy....
and there's still a lot to do:

It's kind of an Egypt themed landscape. (I wanted to add Cthullu somewhere tho..lol..maybe if I have time..)

In about seven hours I will be on a plane to London (once again ...n'again'n'again...).
I couldn't be happier =)
...yet I have extreme flight anxiety and am about to cry everytime I think about boarding that aircraft.

Anyways~ what I wanted to say was that I won't be able to blog til I come back next week then.
And also I won't have time to check out your blogs
- but will do as soon as I'm back.

Well, one hasn't got really anything to do with the other....
but both of them were kinda too short for seperate posts.

Japanese blue beer by Abashiri brewery in Hokkaido.

This brew is made using water from melted icebergs, that float around Hokkaidos beaches, and seaweed.
I would so love to try this, not for the taste tho, just because it's blue.

Today my course started a 3-day design project exam.
The "challenge" is to create an airplane in CINEMA 4D (using blueprints tho).
I would rather model something else.....
I know some people might laugh at the easiness now... but I feel like I suck at cinema..

Just got started - fed up with it already.

Can't we just get back to programming?! (T____T)

I recently read some of H.P.Lovecraft's writings...

Awesome stuff!!

they are capturing and awfully disgusting at the same time.

"The call of Cthulhu", "The Nameless City", "The Thing on the Doorstep", "The Shunned House",...

but it was "The Rats in the Walls" that really got me.

BUT... I would have never thought I was such a weak-o.

I must say I have a very vivid imagination...
and now, whenever I try to close my eyes at night,
nauseating pictures of these obscene story are flashing through my mind.

I was listening to happy, jolly children songs..watched comedy on TV...left the lights on..
and finally I thought I might be able to fall asleep..

For those who don't know "The Rats in the Walls"
....basically every night this guy hears the sound of thousands of rats in the walls..
running down to the basement of his house.
Later he finds an underground city beneath his cellar, where generations of human cattle were raised and fed on human flesh....and eww...

Anyways~ I was quite successful with burying what I read in oblivion and ready to sleep..
when my BF called.<3

me: "I've read a scary story and now can't really sleep, but I guess it will be okay..."
him: "Oh, too bad. What was it about?"
me: "Cant tell. Dun wanna remember. But uhuuu..I'm all alone and my room is makin' strange noises."
him: "Don't worry hun. Probably it's just a mouse or rat or something..."

At this point I was jumping straight outta my bed...shivering and shaking...
out of my flat.....

and for the last two days I have been sleeping on a couch at my mum's house.

Today we had this winter's first snow. =)
Not a lot, and nothing to stay either...
just a bunch of small white snowflakes gently floating from the black night sky.
Yet they filled my heart with joy.
I really love snow!
